The U-14 girls reached the 11 aside A Final where they will play Mohill with a 3-14 to 2-05 victory in Drumshanbo on Tuesday evening last. Fenagh opened the scoring with a goal in the 2nd minute but points from Heather Moore, Dara Morahan  & Aine Flood cancelled that out by the 10thminute. Fenagh added 3 more points before Heather & Aine pointed just before the interval to leave us trailing by 1-03 to 0-05 at the break. We made a great start to the second period with 2 great goals from Heather Moore & Aine Flood in as many minutes putting us ahead for the first time. Aine added 2 more points in quick succession to stretch the lead as Fenagh got their first point of the 2nd half on 30 minutes. Dara Morahan & Heather Moore pointed as a Fenagh goal briefly gave them hope but Aideen McKiernan goaled immediately to cancel that score.

Dara added 3 points & Heather 2 points with Fenagh adding one in reply to leave the final score 3-14 to 2-05. It was a great team performance as the girls hung in the game in the first half before putting in a power-packed second half display to reach the club’s first A Ladies Final. Niamh Mulvey was terrific in goals with the back-line of Aoife Gilmartin, Mairead Flood, Nicole McGarry & Catherine Gilmartin again outstanding.

In the middle of the park Dara Morahan & Caoimhe Boyle McCrum covered every blade of grass & weighed in with crucial scores while upfront Aine Flood, Emma Barry, Heather Moore & Aideen McKiernan were exceptional with all the scores coming from play. Substitutes Tara Wynne, Leah Flynn, Shona Nugent & Megan Moran again played a vital part in the win. The Final is on Saturday June 4th at 12:30pm at a venue yet to be decided. Please turn out in numbers to support the girls.
