Congratulations to the U-14 team & management on their success on Monday evening in the 13 aside league final with victory over Leitrim Gaels. It was a terrific match that ebbed and flowed one way then another before we finally triumphed on a scoreline of 5-11 to 4-08. The game was played in blustery conditions and we trailed at the break 1-06 to 1-05 after playing against the breeze in the first half with the goal coming from captain Wayne Reynolds. We got a great start to the second half with 2 goals from Ryan Crawford & Ciaran Walsh putting us ahead but to their credit Leitrim Gaels responded and struck 3 goals themselves including a penalty to lead with less than 10 minutes to go. However Ciaran Walsh goaled twice in 2 minutes to decide the game.

Subs: Cormac Reynolds, Cathal McKeon, Gavin Kane. There were great celebrations in the clubhouse afterwards as the team enjoyed well deserved refreshments. Well done to Micky McTigue, John Walsh & Ciara McTigue who had the team in great shape for the final.
